Red bean bread
This actually isn't something very special/out of the ordinary, but still probably something you wouldn't see in an American supermarket/bakery/store. You'd know what it is if you're familiar with Asian bakeries though. Very yummy stuff.

Sweet blog! I stumbled across it on the JapanTimes website. I too am addicted to conbini. I live in Kochi prefecture, Shikoku. We don't have Seven Eleven or Family Mart in my city, my allegiance lies with "3F" (three F, or suree-efu). I heard somewhere it's a Shikoku only chain, have you come across one in your travels?
